Stop Being Catholic?

(In response to a friend and his assessment to stop being Catholic)

Well the Catholic church just rehashed stories and life lessons that other groups for thousands of years before had already told. So, to be Catholic just means you like the stories and the messages of how to live your life. That's the spiritual part of Catholicism. The way you live your life. Ultimately it's about getting to the next energy level. The politics of the Catholic Church tries to bring you down to the lower energy levels. It's a literal spiritual warfare. The problem is that everything in this world is a spiritual warfare so even if you aren't Catholic, Christian or religious at all, you are daily facing battles to bring you down or raise you up. The early Christians knew this. The modern Christian doesn't. So, I'm still Catholic because the way of life that Jesus preached makes sense for getting up in energy levels until we are finally closer to him. There are alot of other paths that get you there too. Just don't follow the leaders of this earth.
