Written on 3/18/97 after reading an Isaac Asimov short story. It’s basically a different view of the question: are we alone?
This I ponder
As I wonder
Will we ever know?
Will we ever go?
Will we ever see?
Will we ever b?
R they out there?
Should we care?
R we alone?
It must be known!
He had a plan
When creating man
But we don’t see
What is 2 b
His son came
Was it the same
4 all races
And all places
Not of this earth?
All saw His birth?
Or now they see
What will be?
His words r said
Until He’s dead
Then on again
2 other men
Until it’s done
And left r none
Will we talk?
Will we walk?
With the other
As r brothers?
A common thread
Is His bread
And his word that all heard
Is ther a book
4 them 2 look?
And is there fight
On which is right?
Is there a pope?
And is there dope?
How much the same
Or is this lame?
Their world and r’s
Do they have cars?
On and on I could go
And never really know
All the answers when I die
No longer asking why
All will b known
R we alone?
How did He go?
This I’ll know
How did they look?
Was there a book?
All will be clear
All will b near
I’ll know His plan
That was 4 man
